IC21: How to buy insurance

1. Apply

You can apply for insurance through our website, call our contact center (available 24 hours daily) or go through an agent.

2. Approval

If you application can be accepted without further assessment, your will get confirmation on-the-spot.

If your application needs to be assessed by an underwriter, you will be notified about it. We will give you a reply within 4 days.

3. Policy Document

We will send the policy document to you by e-mail. Alternatively, you can collect it from the agent or our service branch.

If you have not paid the premium yet, the insurance cover will be effective only from the date of payment of the premium.

You are allowed a free look of 14 days to examine the terms of the insurance contract. You can cancel the contract and ask for a refund of the premium that you have paid.

The policy document is also stored in our server and is available for your access using a password.

4. Premium Deposit

You have the option to pay the first premium at the time of submission of the application, if you wish.

If the application is not accepted, or you cancel it during the free look period, the premium will be refunded to you.

5. Disclosure

You are required to disclose relevant information on your health or risk exposure, based on the questions asked in the application form.

For example, if you are suffering from a known medical condition and you do not disclose it, it may affect the payment of a claim at a later date.

6. Explanation of Contract

You can ask the adviser to explain the terms of the insurance contract. You can also ask for a FAQ about this product. It contains the frequently asked questions and is explained in a layman term.

7. Servicing

If you need servicing at a later date, you can call our contact center (accessible 24 hours daily) or visit our service branch (during office hours).

You do not need to go to the adviser for routine servicing on your insurance policy.
